Congratulations on your decision to become a Christian. In understanding that your decision is such a major one, we do not take lightly, the fact that you have chosen CWUM as your first step in your spiritual journey.
Romans 10:8-9 says; "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righte

Publicly acknowledging not only who God is, but who JESUS is, is important - in this first step. This signifies your commitment, love, and faith, acknowledging Jesus as the son of the living God and as your Lord and Savior.

This is a faith walk! Salvation requires faith in the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This goes beyond a philosophical perspective, but a deep trust and reliance on Him for your righteousness and eternal life.
Acts 3:19 says, "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
Repentance and "feeling sorry" are two different things. When one is repentant, it is a heartfelt turning away from sin and moving toward God and a life of sanctification and holiness (not to be confused wit

Repentance and "feeling sorry" are two different things. When one is repentant, it is a heartfelt turning away from sin and moving toward God and a life of sanctification and holiness (not to be confused with perfection). This truly signifies a change of heart and a willingness to live according to His will.
BONUS STEPS:
4. Baptism - which symbolizes ones death to sin, and then being reborn with a new life in Christ Jesus. (Romans 6:3-4 & Acts 2:38)
5. Joining an assembly of faith - this will include a church or assembly of believers. This is essential in the Christian walk. This is helps us with our spiritual growth, accountability and encouragement.
(Hebrews 10:24-25; Proverbs 27:17; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; and more!)
